Thomas Southwell  (1781– )

Thomas Southwell joined the army in His Majesty’s 46th Regiment, becoming a Lieutenant in 1798. He is recorded as having witnessed his father’s signature on the 1802 Deed of Partnership when William transferred control of his Dublin business to his sons John and Francis and his brother Nicholas. Also in that year he is on record as having purchased the leases on the Hume-street properties built by his father. He retired from the Army in 1803.
